When discussing something about sanAthana dharma we get questions like “Where it is written?”

The question in itself may have some validity but we have multiple authentic sources including our grandma’s advice which takes precedence over any standard ritual because we give importance to family practices as well.

For people like us devoted our life to listening to upanyasams predominantly , we can refer to upanyasam or kalakshepam

My question is, the entire Veda was spread by word of mouth (listening) & remembrance (shruthi & smrithi) . Do we really need to show “Where it is written?” like Chandhogya upanishad Sath vidhya prakaranam?

Is it correct to say “I accept only if it’s written somewhere?”
