Swamy, hurting others or oneself is a papam! The shariram is given by bhagavan to us(jeevatmas) to put it in right use, both we jeevas and achit are his belongings. So self hurting/cursing/suicide or any sort wont be pleasing to peruman and it certainly leads to papam for anyone. A sharanagatha should be mature enough to understand this and never indulge in this!

Regarding devareer’s past concern as mentioned by devareer “…………I used to call myself an idiot under such circumstances and do not go beyond that…………….“.

Though it is understood that devareer don’t go beyond that,
* one should not call self as idiot, if we consider ourselves as Acharya ThiruvAdi, since Acharya ThiruvAdi only transmits Karunai, Gyanam and Aanandham (happiness) as per BhagavAn, so we cannot be idiot.
* If one calls self as idiot even after getting Acharya ThiruvAdi, then it will imply that Acharya ThiruvAdi is imparting something else in us other than Aanandham, which cannot be true, since BhagavAn didnot set-up Acharyas that way. So in this situation also one should not call self as idiot.

Simple way to understand the above explanation is as below:

“The BITTERNESS of Ignorance/stupidity/idiot remains in mind for long, only if the SWEETNESS of Acharya ThiruvAdi is forgotten”.

So anyone in Acharya ThiruvAdi is “Idiot-Free” life style. Adiyen believe, devareer fall in this category after Samasrayanam on Swami RamanujAr ThiruvAdi. So don’t ever think and worry about past (poorva prapatthi) thinking/life style.
