Giving up Satva Guna eventually-what needs to be done?

When undesirable Rajo and Tamo were relatively conquered, what steps need to be taken to give up Satva Guna at the end (nirguna state, roughly), since that is also a requirement to reach HIM – Prayers requesting so will do or Bhagawan himself takes care of that part?

PuNyam ties you to KArmic cycle.

When Brahmam itself is not absolute NirguNam according to VishistAdvatam where is that NirguNA state for a JeevAthman?
