After performing Vilakku poojai at a Durga temple, I somehow lost my kungumam which was used during the pooja. Is it a bad omen? I am scared.

Dear Mahalakshmi,
If your grandchild asks the same question to your daughter, what do you want your daughter to tell your grandchild?
Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,
Most of the time, such things happen due to carelessness. I dont think it’s any bad omen or sign. This event is a “lesson learned’ to be careful next time. One time Lord Hanuman asked Sita Devi, why you put kungumam on your forehead, She said it will keep Her Husband Supreme Lord SriRama Live longer. Hearing this Lord Hanuman applied kungumam all over His body for SriRama to long live. It’s still celebrated as Anjaneeya Sindhoor Abhishekam. Pray Hanuman (Acharya) and then Mother of kungumam Sita Devi to safeguard from this material clutches and carelessness, eventually the next steps lined up by Supreme Lord SriRama will start unfolding.
Adiyen (ElayaAlwar) Srinivasa (DhoddayacharyAr) Dasan.
Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha
It is of course not a good sign. Not a bad sign either.
The Durga devi’s powers is not just with the kumkumam.
Aadi Shakthi ava. Nambina kai vida maata.
Also Shiva and Durga will safely transport you to Vishnu.
In Bhakthi Sarar’s instance, actually Shiva Parvati were trying to help Azhwar .

These gods are mainly responsible to keep jeevAthmAs in Samsara Sagaram.
Lord Shiva said to Bhakthi Sarar “Except Mokshham I can give anything”
Shiva is nyAna DhAtha. Giver of Knowledge. Of Course that nYanam is Vishnu.
