We(as Indian society at large)  have somehow taken vidhi or fate as a predetermined one directional , so that is why the current/new generation are asking such questions.

Vidhi literally means rule… here rule of karma..one gets what one sows..as we sow so as we reap… So what happens to us is a combination of both what we did in the past and how we behave or act now as well… there are people who over emphasize the past effect more and there are some who think they can do anything by their present endeavours. But both have a contribution or proportion depending on the time place and circumstance.
Apart from these two the final approval or persmission has to be from Supreme lord (in the form of paramatma in each atom)

So to conclude we cannot say that it is one’s vidhi to get involved in accident but one has to take due precautions and care.
Similarly, the cause or effect for the driver’s action can be few possibilities…one in the past the driver might have been killed by the peron in accident diurectly or by eating non -vegetatarian..but this possibility is probably low but possible.
Secondly.the driver is creating his future karma by his present action, which involves or necessiates him to be carfeul while doing his duty.
So if he beomes negligent , that action creates karma..

So vidhi or Karma is dynamic it has a past componet and a present componet and a bhagawan component which all decides the future!
