Adiyen would also like to share pictures of SriKrishna Janmashtamai celebrations in “Uddava Samparadhay (a.k.a BAPS ‘SwamiNarayanan Sampradhay’)
It was very interesting to learn from a BAPS devotee that their GuruParamparai is based on Swami Ramanujar VishsitaAdvaitham philosophy.
BAPS GuruParamparai book is “SheekshaPathri” is Pramaan for them.
It’s been said that Swami Ramanujar came in dreams of “Swami Ramanand” and gave “DHEEKSHA” about the Veda Maarga VisihstaAdvaitham philosophy “Chit,Achit, ParamAthma”. Swami Ramanand is considered to be an incarnation of Uddava (SriKRishna’s friend and counsellor in Dwaraka). Hence it was called as “Uddav Sampradhay” in Gujarat.
Later on When BhagavAN SriKrishna took avatar as Shahajanand Swami (a.ka. Nilkant Varni), and BhagavAn learned the VishsitaAdvaita Philosophy from Swami Ramanand. Since BhagavAN Sriman NarayanAn Himself descended and continued the Philosophy in northern parts of India), later the ‘Uddav Sampradhay’ was called as “SwamiNarayanan Samprdhay” or BAPS (Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha)
Then, on they have their own Acharyas GuruParamparai and almost 5 descent Acharyas till date now after SwamiNarayanAn avatar as Nilkant Varni. The 1st BAPS temple was built in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and has Global beautiful temples inside and outside India.
They call their Acharyas as “Maharaj”.
Like, Gunatitanand Maharaj ki jai, ……..Pramukh Swami Maharaj ki Jai, etc….
They chant Maha Mantra: “Om SwamiNarayaney Namaha”, and “Sri RamaKrishnaGovinda SriRamaKrishnaGovinda” & “SwamiNarayanAn BhagavAn Ki Jai”.
It is amazing to know, how Swami Ramanujar spread the Veda Maarga VishsitaAdvaitam throughout the world and branched out as different sampradhay’s with every devotees having the CORE root as “RAMANUJA SAMBHANDHAM”. No wonder why Swami Ramanujar is called as “JagadhAcharyar”.
