Ekadashi day is sharddhabhava i.e. no sharddha is to be be performed on this day.

Coming to when it is to be performed, it actually depends on the thithi in panchangam either it falls on Dashami or other times on Dwadashi depending on the time Ekadashi thithi started and cannot be generalized. So please refer specific day’s Panchangam.

Respected Swamiji, vanakkam

my father attained Shivaloka Prapti, 4 months ago. As a only son I did 16 days kariyam with real Pasu & Kandru thaanam to Pasu madam on 16th day. After 16th day function completion, our vadyar told us, next shradham for my father is on end of 1st year thithi which falls on 20 oct 2017. During that 1st year shraddham day we perform 12 masigam for 12 months for 1st month to 12th month and in-between not neccssary to perform any masigam or shraddham or Ammavasai tharpanam etc. even to my mother also who passed away 10 years back not to do any masigam or shraddham or Ammavasai tharpanam  and he told can do on my fathers 1st year completion day thithi.

On every ammavasai past 10 years I performed tharpanam in Singapore or wherever I stayed. but now past 4 months I feel myself very guilty concious for not performing any tharpanam or viratham to my parents and eating myself.

Swamiji kindly pls, pls, pls, pls, pls advice me without delay, what I can do on coming this Ammavasai day and my father’ s 5th month Prathamai thithi day (falls next day of Ammavasai). I mean I can do tharpanam for my mother and father on Ammavasai and the next day of my father’s 5th month prathamai thithi can I perform tharpanam or Masigam or else what ?

I want to do sincerely to my parents without any break as per Vedic advice and if so I am very happy and very peaceful. But nobody is guiding me on this and I very very beg your goodself to advice me on this what steps immediately I have to do on this regard. I came to Singapore last week after 4 months of my father passed away (31st Oct 2016).

I am ready to do anything to my parents as per your kind advice inorder to get Mukthi to my parents. On 5th December 2016 I went to Triveni sangam in Allahabad and spread my father’s Ash and did rituals there and went to Gaya in Bihar for Pinda pradan. But after I went Gaya vathiyar swamy advice me, I cannot do pinda pradanam to my father before 1st year completion and ask me to come after 20th October 2017. so I came back without doing pindam in gaya to my parents.

Honorable respected swamiji kindly pls advise me on my next initiation to my father and mother. I loved them a lot & lot & lot. As a son what I do in future for them to attain Mukthi?
