Based on the reason given in the Bhagavatam in the above slokas, it seems the six souls had some karma which had to be relived and then they were supposed to be in another service..in another body and location..

It is indeed difficult to answer to a 8 year old child.. probably we can try to explain that the soul is eternal and there are actions in the past before they were born and after they die the soul still exists and are given a different better body.. Not sure if it will be too difficult to comprehend for an young child.

Coincidentally heard one upanyasam yesterday by another swami.. and this part was explained that actually Kamsa did not intend to kill the first 7 child, as the asareeri told about danger from 8 th child only.. But It was Narada Muni who confused him that as per deva ganam ” celestial mathematics” 8th child can be anything depending on where we start the count.. or something on those lines..So Kamsa was confused and as a matter of avoiding risk took his decision accordingly.

The reason why Narada Muni did it was because for multiple reasons, he wanted to accelerate the end of Kamsa and Kamsa’ rule quickly..also there was another reason mentioned as above the karma of those six souls born needed only a momentary early life.
