Dear Swamy/ periyava,

Adiyen Ramanujadasan,

In our family when we say we need to limit the no.of times eating food and more focus on upanyasam. Ladies in houses worried that “குடும்பஸ்தனுக்கு தேகம் பலம் முக்கியமா இல்லை ஞான சுகம் முக்கியமா”? By showing kids to be taken care. They are worried about our health and they want us to be ” புஜ பல பராக்கிரமசாலி” due to today’s life situation and needs of more energy and healthy life for survival need they are demanding. Should a Vaishnava allowed to be புஜ பல பராக்கிரமசாலி also,,?. How to become Brave Baktha in this greedy world ,?.

Srimate Raamanujaye Namaha,

Swamy their concern is true, but we have to educate them via suitable means.

For example via ayurvedic doctors etc.  As per Ayurveda solid food must be extremely minimized or avoided after sunset , as our digestive fire is proportional to solar time. This will prevent lot of diseases in future like Diabetes, cholosterol, BP etc. So once they know these facts then they may cooperate.

Kainkaryam as far as adiyen know are in different flavours.

AnanthAzhwan did gardening
PeriyAzhwar did garlanding

Veda also asks for everything in Chamakam to do Kainkaryam

Like Ayul, Arogyam, Ishwaryam etc

Also my Prakrutham Acharyan Srimath Varaha Mahadesika Swamy goes walking along with disciples to keep Physically fit and advocates the same.
