Srimate Ramnujaye Namaha!

Swami if you can recollect the train travel, we will see that all the houses and fields along the train track appearing to move backward and flowing and we may appear to be stationary.. since we take “us” as the frame of reference. So in vedic astrology earth is considered as the reference point and in relation to that Sun moves.

Also as Kambandasan swamy has pointed out may be whole of solar system is moving in milky way.

Also in general it is not necessary to correlate modern science and Vedic facts..for some we may find some answers for some we may not, but that should not be the basis for our faith in vedas. because the conclusions of modern science keeps changing constantly unlike vedas.

@enpanifan swamy, I was not referring to modern science but vedic astronomy only. Even vedic astronomy says Earth revolves around the Sun, while moon revolves around Earth. And that is how Eclipses are calculated in Panchangam also. Our swami has also said the same when he explained about Eclipses. That is why I had this doubt.

Kshamikka prathikkiraen Swamy. In that case i do not know how to reconcile this two different perspectives. In one case Sun is kept as reference and earth’s movt is described in vedic astronomy. But in vedas describing sun’s motion , earth is kept stationary and movt of sun is described. That is what you are probably discussing.  I am not sure why two different references are used.

@vikraminside swamy, my question was based on swami’s explanation of Eclipses. Swamy tallked about Sun, Earth and Moon. He also told about Earth revolving around the Sun. That’s why I asked this question.
