சுவாமி அருமையான விளக்கம். ஆனால் பல ஆலயங்களில் வெளியே இருந்து வாங்கி வரும் பூச்சரங்களை பெருமாலுக்கு சூட்டுக்கின்ற அளவில் துளசி மாலையை அணிவிப்பதில்லை. பெரிய ஆலயத்தில் இல்லை நம் அருகில் உள்ள சிறிய ஆலயத்திலும் தான். இருப்பினும் துளசி மாலையை நம் பெருமாலின் ஶ்ரீபாதங்களில் தான் இடுகின்றனர், மகிழ்ச்சி தான் ஆனால் பெருமாலின் திருத்தோலுக்கு ஏறிய பூக்களை விட துளசி மதிப்பு சற்று குறைந்து விட்டதா? இதை பார்த்து இப்போதெல்லாம் துளசியை விட்டு பூச்சரம் வாங்கி செல்ல தோன்றுகிறது.?

There are some practical reasons possible for the observation you have made.

There are two possible scenarios depending on the temple

1. If there are too many Tulasi Malais offered and if all are on Perumaal’s shoulder..How to offer the new Tulasi Maalai offered by the next devotee..they will also feel hurt correct.. so after few minutes they have to remove the previous batch garlands
2. In the scenario where there are very few Tulasi garlands.. They need some Tulasi Malai for Tulasi prasadam distribution , which they extract from garlands..So it is taken out for distribution.. In this case Tulsai garalnd instead of being wasted after offering to perumall it is being distributed to devotees.. so it is good.

Finally , Bhagawan says

patram pushpam phalam toyam
yo me bhaktya prayacchati
tad aham bhakty-upahritam
ashnami prayatatmanah

If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower,
fruit or water, I will accept it.

So let us offer with our devotion, then Perumaal is happy , it does not depend on how long it is placed over Perumaal’s Thirumeni..Devotion is beyond time.

Also it is beyond our control..

Best solution you can offer all three : Tulasi Malai along with udhiri Tulasi(loose Tulasi) and flower garland..
