We have heard people say “The rice piece did not even enter throat & he became no more”. That last rice piece was not written for him!

Also adiyen heard a story where Mahalakshmi thAyAr says you cannot touch gold in this janma as there is no such yogam in this current birth.

Then the man says , I will re-write the fate, takes sanyAsam. Which as per shastram is a new birth.

Again Mahalakshmi thAyAr intervenes & says “See I told you, there is no such yogam to touch gold because a sanyAsi can never touch gold”.

Keeping all these in mind, we are told, Perumal’s blessing is abundant like river water, the vessel we use to carry the blessing makes all the difference in size of blessing reception.

Also Perumal’s blessing is compared to rain and we are asked not to hold the umbrella to prevent it.

There is also a saying in தமிழ்

மரத்தை வைத்தவன் தண்ணி ஊற்றுவான்

Even Velukkudi Swamy once told “We just should not say no when Perumal comes to take us”.

A man’s blessing is limited or unlimited?
