I am one of those avid listeners of en pani broadcast every day and feel blessed as it has helped me in gaining stead personally as well as spiritually. Your messages on current issues and their resolutions are both practical and easy to follow. I had a few doubts in my mind especially after your looking at the Lord as our Father as an epitomy for.compassion..
1. As we treat him like our father ( king) why do we smother him with butter, honey, fruits, etc. Shouldnt we be doing only things we will do to a loving father as we treat him as one standing to give his blessings? Why can’t we offer him food to eat rather than pouring it on him? Why don’t we peel the fruits before offering it? And other related activities that we do to him. I understand he allows it because he loves us but don’t we need to think about it and not do things and that we take utmost care of him? Why do they hold the aarthi so close to him. Won’t he feel uncomfortable? Wouldnt we feel uncomfortable? I presume aarthi was mainly used in the olden days when we didn’t have electricity. With so many lights now , shouldn’t we keep the aarthi away from him so as to not discomfort him? even the sanal from the malai can irritate him so shouldnt we take care to put the malai that are soft instead of the ones that are.pokey. Sorry for being ignorant and I am sure there are reasons for all these things but still feel sad especially since I see him as the compassionate Father. For Hanuman I understand that he deserves the butter for his small.wounds he would have got.from.carrying the mountain but putting vada malai with pokey sanal kayiru will definitely irritate him, shouldn’t we avoid it and offer it on a leaf nstead? Again request pardon In case these questions have already been answered or are trivial.
