Adiyen also agree with the BhagavAtas suggestion for future 2020 Calendar onwards, if we can have a “TAMIL BASE” Calendar with starting month as Chitthirai (mid Apr-mid May) and 12 months cycle ending in month Panguni (mid Mar-mid Apr).

This also helps all people to get accustomed to the Tamil-Base Calendar months and revive the previous traditions.

And also Keep the English months and dates in Parenthesis, instead of following the current method of “Gregorian-Base” calendar with starting month as January and ending in December.

Adiyen has seen such Regional-Base calendars in some parts of North Indian and South Indian Sanatana Dharmam institutions publishing it.

The current KKT calendar uses “Gregorian-Base” months starting with Jan’2019 with Tamil Months/Nachathiram following it till Dec’2019. In-order to make the transition to “Tamil-Base” Calendar method, just for the 2020 Calendar, the Calendar can start from Jan’2020, but the end date needs to be temporarily extended till mid-Apr’2021 (Chitthirai Month), totally covering for 16 months in the 2020 KKT Calendar, that way, the next year 2021 KKT calendar can be released in month of April with Calendar reflecting Chitthirai as 1^st month (mid Apr – mid may) for a 12 months cycle ending in 2022 Panguni month (mid-mar – mid Apr), and so on for 2023 etc…….

There can be English versions released for the Tamil-Base KKT calendars as below image example. As BhagavAtas has said, many people use KKT calendars which will have huge impact to everyone to revive the tradition and more over it is easy for the Traditional practitioners.

Danyoshmin Kongil Piratti Swamin for the wonderful ideas to implement Thamizh based calendar.

Few decades ago, unfortunately people who were ruling, covertly infiltrated English calendar system into our culture and most of us had taken this to next level by celebrating Birthdays based on English calendar over Janma Nakskathram on Thamizh month or English New year over Vaideekha Puthandu.

English Calendar has killed our Vaideeka Thamizh culture such that many people do not even know which Thamizh month we are in and majority of people do not know our Thamizh year at all.

Adiyen request is to have everything thamizh based including Year. May be Ayanam and Rithu kaalam can also be mentioned. As it is represented in image in Devareer’s message, English dates, may be mentioned in a small font for reference.

Beautiful compilation BhagavAta regarding adding the Tamil year names like Vilambhi, Vikari, etc.. With actual Kali Yuga years 5121, 5122 along with English years in parenthesis.

At the same time, we should also not show much aversion towards English (English Calendar has killed our Vaideeka Thamizh culture), since everyone of us has learned English through which we work, we earn and do sambhavanai to temples, Charities, etc..

So any language should not be treated as if it is a Mleccha bhasha, if the language can be used to spread Bhakthi Vishayams and communicate to do Sath Karyams, like how we all presently use.

The reason is,

Dheshacharam Kaalachaaratthukku yetrra maadhiri ulla mozhigalai upayogitthu Munnorgal Sonna Porulai Solla vaendum.

தேஸாச்சாரம் காலாச்சாரத்துக்கு ஏற்ற மாதிரி உள்ள மொழிகளை உபயோகித்து, முன்னோர்கள் சொன்ன பொருளை சொல்ல வேண்டும்.

Like if we speak or write in Thooya Tamil, it is great, but how many are ready to receive it and undersatnd the Thooya Tamil is the question in this present period. Like an example below:

Yennudaya Ahankara Attayil Enaya thalatthai enaitthu Kodu.

என்னுடைய அகங்கார அட்டையில் இணைய தளத்தை இணைத்து கொடு

No one will understand this. So we have to apply the English word where ever necessary, if not, no one will understand what we are saying.

Ahankara –> means “I” in sampradhayam (considering body as Athma, and not saying as Adiyen)

Attai –> means “Pad”

So Ahakara Attai –> means “I-Pad”

Enaya thalam –> means ‘Internet’

Enaitthu –> means ‘connect’

So we have to use TaNglish language where ever applicable so everyone can understand, and we shouldn’t be shy in using the appropriate words in English as below:

என்னுடைய I-Pad’il Internet Connect பண்ணி  கொடு.

This is just for simplicity, since majority of these people who used to come to sampradhayam are ordinary persons like us and they also will leave, if they are Not yet to the level of understanding Pure Tamil.

So, the Calendar Transition also needs to be made smooth to Tamil Language wherever Appropriate English words to be used in these Kaala Kattam till everyone gets to the point of knowing Thooya Tamil later in some generation. But using a Tamil Year date as first month and adding necessary Tamil months/natchatirams etc to be started from next year, so we have a start point now and eventually when people are accustomed to use such calendar later, they will be comfortable from then on.

It’s also upto Sri Velukkudi Swami’s ThiruUllam and BhagavAn Sankalpam how it needs to be handled from next year 2020 KKT calendar.

However it is a great idea as BhagavAta has suggested regarding adding the Tamil year names like Vilambhi, Vikari, etc.. With actual Kali Yuga years 5121, 5122 along with English dates/years in parenthesis.

Perfectly said Bhagavata. Adiyen only shared Swami’s ThiruUllam from past Enpani #59 ‘daily do’s and don’ts’, as below link, in which Swami says many points and adiyen reflected Swami’s few points from that enpani in this context as below:

1) We should think, “yellarum Nanna Irukkanum. Kadal Soozhndha MannUlagam Vazha Vaendum yendru Prarthikkanum”,

2) Also, Swami says, When we work in a office (materialistic job), we should NOT keep blaming the same office and get salary. Such money will not stick with us. So, we should keep loyalty towards the office.

So adiyen just reflected the same INTENT as Swami for Language or Office, since all these are helpful for us to buy daily needs for kainkaryam at home, plus we are able to Acharya sambgavanai for Thirumeni ramayanam, temple/institutions donations for the death karyams etc…. Adiyen understood Bhagavata’s intention is to convey that the language English is a medium to spread GLOBAL Bhakthi, if not Swami’s valuable. Spiritual knowledge will be limited to few circles within Tamilians only.

The phone doesn’t recognize the Translitertated Tamil words into English. Instead the phone is picking up “Auto Prestored Words” while typing fast.

So adiyen is reposting one of the above paragraph again to fix those errors like ‘rakshanam’ was preselected as ‘ramayanam’ and some other words as well.

Its Swami’s Krupai, Swami has applied in 2019 calender both Tamil and English dates. We can see the transition from Vilambi year to Vikari year (tamil new year) in the April2019 (Sargam 28 page), which is start of Vikari year, uttaratayam, vasantha rithu additions etc…?

Dear aadhis Bhagavata,

Yes, Bhagavata is cent percentage ? correct ✔ about 2019 calender. Format is same as previous years. Adiyen was reading Swami’s explanation of each Sarghams, and adiyen was immersed in the stories, which made adiyen hyperactive, and adiyen overlooked the calender format and thought for a moment, it is different. That’s when adiyen types the above recent post. Sorry for the confusion. May be next year, Swami will incorporate the details as discussed in the earlier posts in this same thread.
