Are we eligible to bless others of our choice?

Swamy. Aneka Koti Namaskarams of Adiyen Srinivasan Pranesh.

When ever some one falls at feet of my father for blessings, he used to bless, “Padmavathi Srinivasa paripoorna Divya kataksha siddhirastu”.

If Kataksham of Thayaar and Perumal are there, everything else is automatically ensured.

However, I find that few people bless others like, “Dheerga Sumangali Bhava, Dheergayushman Bhava, Nanna Padipu Varanum, Seekiram Veedu Kattanum etc.”

Is this right? Are we capable of blessing someone ourselves?

Mudiyathava can at least say, “Bhagavan Dheergaysa Vachirukkattum, Baghavan Nalla Padippu Kodukattum etc”.

I am training my son to ask only for Moksham and not anything else. He also used to pray, “Govinda! Indha Jenmam Kazhinchathum Moksham Kodu”. When he prayed this to Lord Ranganathar of Srirangam, one of the bhattars asked, “Why you are training child in this way. Intha Vayasulla Nalla Padippu varanumnu ketka sollunga”.

If we pray for Kataksham of Thayaar and Perumal, they themselves will take care of material life and grant Moksha too. Isn’t it?

Should we pray separately for material benefits? Also, while blessing others, are we really eligible to bless them ourselves?

Please share your thoughts.
