Earlier
“nyAnam bhakthi vairAgyam” was prescribed
Nowadays “DhyAnam & Yogam” is being prescribed
Adiyen see a lot of change in prescription from earlier days of upanyasams.
Mundhi ellam avlo yogatha pathi peche kAnOm. Ippo neraya varudhu.
Who will teach yOgam?
Jaggi Vasudev, Pandit Sri Ravi Shankar , Baba Ram Dev, Nithyananda?
Adhayum prescribe pannidungo.
Or let kinchit release book on yOgam we will follow.
In one Kinchit calendar cd one mama was teaching yOgam. Highly appreciated but what’s the pramANam in Sri vaishnava Guru Paramparai?
Adiyen heard it’s over after Sriman Natha Munigal. In fact that Swamy taught to someone it seems and latter Swamy did not spread it seems.
Whatever it is , it is not there. Why are we always prescribing yOgam then when Azhwars didn’t insist.
I will get answer:
“Need not do yOgam as part of Moksha sAdhanam”
Then why do any sAdhana for that matter? Time pass?
Summa asanam and dhyAnam what’s the use? BP reduce pannavA?
Why Azhwars did not prescribe yogam?
My father used to say “PerumALa dhyAnam Pannu”.
Not sure if this dhyAnam is yogic or non yogic?
Is this dhyAnam part of that 8 angam?
Also when my Amma had breathing issues known via oximeter, Adiyen asked her to do pranAyAmam, the meter was giving better results immediately.
So thought why pranAyAmam restricted only to males in SandhyAvandhanam or other rituals?
Of course, this Sri Vaishnavam is male centric.
If women can cook for perumal which is directly going inside perumal at home why women not allowed in madapalli of temples except for theetu kaalam?
For males we have long mantra in tarpanam. For females we just say shorter single line mantra “pithAmahi tarpayAmi” thrice even after death.
(This is what adiyen feel)
Please refer script if you don’t believe me.
Also Vasu Pathni swarupa: not matching when mother is alive. It is wrong to say grandmother as father’s wife.
Manasu oppala.
I.e. Father’s mother cannot be assumed as father’s wife.
I think I should change my Sankalpam. I stopped saying “Pathni swaroopa:” and started directly addressing as “PathAmahi” only.
My paatti cannot be father’s wife that’s ridiculous.
Adiyen will ask some learned about tarpanam or to my Acharya himself today. Let’s see.
