Swami in thirukkural in chapter 1 9th verse..
“கோளில் பொறியின் குணமிலவே எண்குணத்தான்
தாளை வணங்காத் தலை”
What are the 8 qualities of God referred here, is there a direct reference to this “8 set” quality in some other literature?

Dhanyosmi for listing the 8 qualities..may i know the reference(s) where these eight qualities are listed? Are there multiple sources which list about the same 8 qualities?
Pts 3 and 5 listed above bliss and purity- are also qualities of jeevas in liberated state.

As it is a Thirukural i got the answer from a tamil teacher.
But you are correct about 3 and 5 swamy.Now i am also waiting for some other answer.

Since this post is based on Thirukkural, I have a doubt.
Kural 619: “தெய்வத்தான் ஆகா தெனினும் முயற்சிதன்
மெய்வருத்தக் கூலி தரும்.”
Can anyone share with adiyen an authorised interpretation for this kural? There is a great tendency for some people to derive atheistic tendencies from this kural.
