Sri:

When cockroach, rats, ants, flies sometimes even snakes are killed it is acceptable under some standards!

When it comes to higher life forms or special life forms the same world treats it specially.

My understanding, dosham occurs when a life is seperated from its body. Sometimes we learn “Brahma hatthi” occurs only for certain life forms or one becomes “Brahma Rakshas” only if certain life forms are harmed.

Why humans are so special? Why humans can have their own laws?

Does the human law supercede “Shruthi smruthi mamaiva agnya” orders of God?

Why this disparity in life forms?

What is more priority between human law & God’s law?

Swamy,

Practically, if you buy Hit and kill cockroach does anyone punish devareer?. Whereas in movies like “Kadaisi Vivasayi” it is shown like killing peacock is not accepted under Indian law.

So came the question to me, so killing hen, duck everything is wrong when it comes to “ahimsa paramO Dharma:”. For non veg eaters it is okay. Why human accept some and don’t accept some?

Even earthworms are important isn’t it?

If plant has life, why kill them? Does shastras accept killing plants? Is it not “ahimsa”?

Adiyen heard SriRam used to tell some mantra before plucking plants.

So human want to live, we can kill plants and other life forms? Is there any reasoning behind “acceptable” tagging in shastram? 🤔

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Having Life and Having Pain are two different factors to be considered.

Humans, Animals, Birds etc… have both life and pain, so shastras Condemn killing.

Plants have life but Don’t have pain, so eating plants is allowed as per shastras.

How?.
There is a vayu in every body that Athma (Soul) takes called “Viyaanan” which is the Pain factor.

This Viyaanan is highly active in bodies of Human, Animals, Birds etc…but completely Dormant in Plants.

So when one cuts the leg is a animal, it feels pain due to Viyaanan active, but plants though have life it doesn’t have this Viyaanan active, it’s dormant. So the plant doesn’t have pain when a leaf is plucked. So shastras allow to eat plants, but shastras doesn’t allow destroying plants for fun, like plucking grass for time pass while sitting on lawn chit chatting..

Adiyen (ElayaAlwar) Srinivasa (DhoddayacharyAr) Dasan.

ElayAlwAr Swamy, Dhanyosmi for fantastic answer.

Humans have
1. PrAna vAyu
2. VyAna vAyu
3. apAna vAyu
4. samAna vAyu
5. udAna vAyu

A. When prAnan leaves human is dead or when athmA leaves via sookshma Shareeram human is dead?
B. apAna vAyu my sister used to jokingly say for “farting” meaning lower part of the body. Does all aforementioned janthus have all five VAyus? PrANA is a must I believe.
C. What is the significance of each vAyu?

Please answer whatever is applicable to this forum in desired length Swamy. If adiyen need to refer somewhere please point to the same
