How many Saligramam moorthies, can we serve?

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah! Sri Sriranga Narayana Jeeyar Swamigale Saranam! Sri Velukkudi Swamigal Thriuvadigale Saranam! 

adiyen serves  2 salagramams (1 given by asmath acharyar and 1 received as a gift during adiyen’s marriage) during our thiruvaradanam.  adiyen is being told that either we can serve 1 murthy or 4 or more in even numbers. adiyen is being asked not to serve one of them till we get 2 more. But adiyen is not feeling good to stop serving a murthy that was being served all these days. What is the right process here? Please guide us Swami.

As far as i know swami, you can serve 2 murthys, as long as they are in their own petti. only 4 or more murthys can be in a single petti. less than 3, we need to have independent pettis & do thiruvarathanam for each separately.
