Namaskaram Swami

Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy has so many times in his upanayasams cited several examples of Saranagathi done by his Bhaktas, for instance Draupadi, Utara, Kunti  performed Saranagathi to save Parikshit, The pandavas did it for the kingdom etc.. however these come under as mentioned in the gita by Sri krishna , (Aishwarya Arthi) and it is the lowest in the ranks and in this its specifically for the purpose of enjoyment for sense gratification and that is for “personal satisfaction” and that has nothing to do with Paramatma’s enjoyment. However, Aishwarya Arthi is far better than  Kaivalya Arthi, for him it is only his own soul’s enjoyment and for Aishwarya Arthi, Bhagwan do grant him with what all he desires but also makes him to realise all the troubles and misery involved thereof in it and finally makes  him understand the true happiness lies with him and will definitely make one turn to his side only for his enjoyment. I hope u Got what u asked .

For more Details and Clarification regarding the 3 Arthis(  Bhagvan labha Arthi, Aishwarya Arthi and Kaivalya Arthi) refer to Bhagwat Geeta{ch.7.30 and ch8( full)}

Namaskaram Swamy,
Dhanyosmi for clarifying.
As per sharanagathi shAstram, SharanAgathy can be only once.
Swamy Desikan says it cannot be done multiple times.

Sharanagathi nasley
“Enakku veru pugal idam illai” nu dhaney artham

En kizhandhaiya nee kApathu
Mathadha nA pathukaren

En office nee kApAthu
Mathdha nA pathukaren

Ipdi panna Adhu peyar sharanagathi yA?

Give & take madhiri irukkey

So based on above answer,. Aiahwaryarthi can do multiple times

For Moksham only once is applicable because we have given ourselves. So we don’t own us anymore to do second or another time

PerumAl thannoda thiruvadi la vizhundhuttAney nu mokshathukku adhikAriya adhai convert pannika koodAthA?

Firstly in Gita, the definition for Aishwarya Arthi is that one who desires Brahma Level’s Aishwaryam and that too with such long life and not just the “Bhoo” Lokam’s Level (it’s very Low in ranks) and moreover in the gita Sri krishna on one side is happy and on the other side, sad for such a Bhakta since he could have asked HIM, instead of (Asthira Aishwaryam and the problems associated with it) and happy on the part that the individual came to him and did’nt go for the amass wealth to any Demigods, so, in short not understanding the real, true and everlasting Sri Hari.  The above instances which are assumed to be Saranagathi, are actually not, in brief what SaranaGati is (“Gati”, means Prayanam or moving towards and reaching, “Saran” means no other place to find “Ashrayam”).Give and Take is not Saranagati, it’s Trade, right, moreover it’s not even a first step of Bhakti . However, if talking about, can Saranagathi  be done more than once, so here it is, NamAzhwar did it 5 times, Tirumangai Azhwar did it 10 times, even Swamy RAmanujar did it more than ones, but there is a huge difference between complete faith( Azhwars and Acharyas) and just faith( Budding Listeners and Thirumal’s Bhaktas), moreover while talking about Azhwars who performed Saranagathi more than ones, was out of fear at times from this samsaram and also of the feeling that what we are going to get is “Sri Vaikuntam”  which isn’t got by many great saints, which is “Meela da Inbam” and we  are not even a decimal point in comparison to them in Gyana, Bhakti and Vairagyam .Thirdly,Correct me if I am wrong Swami, as per my understanding you are asking, if I prostrate to Bhagwan’s lotus feet then can’t he consider it for mukti, then for this the answer could be, one of the Bhagwan’s Kalyana Gunam is “Bhakta Paradhinan” which in one context can mean he does what his bhakta desires, however he wishes that all his bhakta should attain him (Back Home) ( Sri Vaikuntam), but what to do, Shastra Vakyam states ” Loka Bhin- Bhin Ruchi:” , so as stated earlier that Bhagwan however desires that his child when came to him, should only ask for Moksham, but what to do his desire fails in comparison to the above mentioned ” Shastra Vakyam” ( implicitly, Individuals Desire”) this is not the only reason, however it plays an important role, the other reason is when an individual desires of Material things then how can he love HIM, which is absolutely and only one thing which is required for the one to attain Moksham. I hope this clears the doubt.

The content and egs mentioned all credits to Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy’s Upanayasams .
