Is it true when there is bad phase of life , advice of mahans will not enter head and we won’t change to good accordingly?
For eg: Vibheeshana imparting righteousness to Ravana had no impact on Ravana

I think if we reverse the question there is answer in it.

I think probably you are asking if planetary positions can affect the intelligence and proper decision making..that depends on person to person i think..and the proportional effect of them and our free will depends on each person depending on how strong one’s past karma and vasanas are..though theoretically one’s present free will can overcome any amount of past bad influence..in practice it requires kripa received through the devotees of the Lord.

Yes but the question is what influences our rational thinking ability?

1. One who believes in auspicious timings
2. One who dont believe so does not see timing
3. One who did SharanAgathi and don’t see any timing
2 & 3 are not impacted. While 1 is disturbed in decision making

Swami explained about this in vidura Neeti episodes .. yes during bad times .. there are chances to forget our jyanam and bhakthi. Swami advises to keep on do our regular pooja it will help us for adiyars in bad times and for non bhakthas we have to keep on tell once their bad time done they will remember and follow .. we should not give up anytime to think about perumal thayar acharyar ..

When Bhakta Prahalad was forced by Lord Narashima to ask for a boon, the only thing he asked was to grant him that he should never ever forget the Lord. Adiyen sincerely believe that this rememberance of the Lord will save us whether it’s good time or bad time and we don’t have to worry.

In Vishnu Sahasranaamam 294 dated nov 8 2018, Swamy refers to how in bad time good things heard form good people don’t enter into one’s head with reference to Dhritarashtara unable to accept advice from Sanjaya and Vidura.
