Namaskarams,
I heard in your upanyasam that each person should follow their sva-dharmam.
I am a smartha. In our tradition, there is no form of pancha samskaram so that we can do saranagathi through an acharya. But I heard to get moksham we need to do saranagathi through an acharya. Our forefathers were dikshitars and shakti upasakars. At the same time, Narayana is para daivatham and considering others equal to or greater than Him is a sin.
Therefore, I want to do pancha samskaram so that through acharya I can also attain moksha, but I am confused whether that amounts to changing my sva-dharma. Since after pancha samskaram I will wear urdhva pundram instead of viboothi, and all the sandhyavandanam and other rituals may have changes as well. Does this amount to a change in sva-dharma? If so, will it be a sin or is it ok (because it is for a higher purpose of attaining moksha)?
Thank you for time and consideration
