Vikaram swamy,

a few days ago you had posted a video of the youth program. In that there was a question about how to follow ekadasi. In that context our Swamy explains that japa of Perumal name is sankirtanan. So, recitation of Sri VishnuSahasranamam should be in the same category.

(I am not able to to locate the post in which you had included that video. Let me know if you find. Thank you.

Srimate Ramanujaye Namaha!

Namaskaaram Swamis.

Yes as Kambadasan swamy has said Vishnu Sahasranamam can be considered as nama sankeertan,

the video you were looking for is.( in the 11th minute this discussion comes up) , but the exact phrase swamy says is “japa can be considered as namasankeertam”

Technically NAma sankeerthanam translates to ” Bhagawan Naama + group + glorification/singing” ( i think the group here might refer to a group of persons)

So in Vishnu Sahasranamam also Bhagawan naamas are being recited to glorify Lord’s name, form and past times.( rupa, guna and leela).

But even if we recite alone, reciting with devotion will bring Hanuman and other devatas to hear it so it will become a group and can be considered as naama sankeertanam.
