With Acharya ThiruvAdi Bhalam, Ammangaar Abhimaanam and Velukkudi SrivKrishnan Swami Abhimaanam, adiyen would to share the details and connections of StiRama’s Kulai deivam and SriKrishna’s Kyla deivam and how how SriRama and SriKrishna were connected together with common kula deivam, though SriRama and SriKrishna and their Kulai deivam is ALL SAME PERVASIVE ALMIGHTY PARAMATHMA SRIMAN NARAYANA.

Story Line:
1) Brahma gave his 1st ThiruAradhana Perumal to one of the ancestral King of Ishvaku Kula (Surya Vamsha dynasty), when the King went to Sathya loka from Earth for some purpose. This Perumal was kula deivam for their dynasty for many generations till SriRama took Avatar in this dynasty.
2) After the yudhha kaandam was over, and after SriRama pattabhishekam when SriRama was crowned as King, HE was giving gift to all the participants of the yudhha, and when it was Vibhishana Azhvan’s turn, he asked SriRama of his kula deivam which SriRama did give to Vibhishana Azhvan, but gave him a caution, that while you carry MY kula deiva Perumal to SriLanka, don’t stop anywhere in between during your flight, since if you stack down Perumal on any place, HE will just stick to that place and you will not be able to lift HIM again to take to the destination.
3) Vibhishana Azhvan remembered this and got the Kula deivam Perumal from SriRama and took off. But while he was passing by Srirangam, it was time for his Sandhyavandhanam. So he stopped on Kaveri river bank, and he stacked down the Perumal on the river bank with Perumal facing South towards SriLanka. After Sandhyavandhanam, he realized he shouldn’t have stacked down Perumal on ground other than the destination place as cautioned by SriRama. He tried to lift, but Perumal didnot even move a single inch. He understood, it was Perumal Sankalpam to remain in Srirangam and Perumal said HE will give him Seva from here baby facing South. This is how Brahma’s 1st ThiruAradhana Perumal, none other than Srirangam Periya Perumal, the Reclining Moola Moorthi got Prathishta at Srirangam from Treta yugam onwards.
4) In parallel, Brahma in Satya loka got 2nd Perumal for His ThiruAradhana, which was again handed over to His maanasika four putraas Sanaka, Santana, Sanadhana, Sanat Kumaras, and they did this Perumal’s Prathishta in Melakottai (present Karnataka) during Treta yugam, so that Rishi’s could do Aradhana and dyanam, which is nothing but the Moola Moorthi in Melekottai.
5) So Brahma got a 3rd Perumal for his ThiruAradhana. Meantime, SriRama in Bhooloka didnot have ThiruAradhana Perumal, since he gave it to Vibhishana Azhvan. So SriRama went to Sathya to ask Brahma for another Perumal as HIS kula deivam, which is Brahma’s 3rd ThiruAradhana Perumal. This Perumal is called as “Rama Priyan” who is none other than the URCHAVA Moorthi at Melekottai, Brahma’s 3rd ThiruAradhana Perumal (not the Moola Moorthi, since HE is Brahma’s 2nd ThiruAradhana Perumal). We will come back how RamaPriyan Perumal can to Melekottai as URCHAVA Moorthi
5) After SriRama returned to SriVaikunta, HIS sons Lava-Kusha continued the ThiruAradhanabof RamaPriyan Perumal as their Kulai Deivam and the throne.
6) One time their was a cross marriage between a Bride from Ishavsku kulam (Son dynasty) and Bridefroom from Yadhava Kulam (Moon dynasty) in late ending of Treta yugam and beginning of Dwapara yugam. During this time, RamaPriyan Perumal was given as “ShriDhanam” to yadhava kula bridegroom from the Ishvaku Kula bride side.

7) RamaPriyan Perumal, Brahma’s 3rd ThiruAradhana Perumal who was 2nd Kulai deivam Perumal for SriRama and HIS generations are now the Kula Deivam Perumal for Yadha Kulam for many generations way before SriKrishna Avataram and continued to be their Kulai deivam upto NandhaGopal generation and hence SRIKRISHNA’s kula deivam when HE was dropped from Madhura to Yadhava Kulam.
8) Now during SriKrsihna and Balarama Avatar, Bakarama one time went to Theerta Yatraband He saw surprisingly the Moola Moorthi at Melakottai (Brahma’s 2nd ThiruAradhana Perumal who was given to the four Kumar’s). After Yatra when he teturned, Balarama informed SriKrishna that He saw a Perumal who LOOK ALIKE OUR KULAI DEIVAM. So SriKrishna and Balarama took their Kulai deivam RamaPriyan and went to Melakottai and SriKrishna was surprised to look alike Perumal, and HE handed over HIS kula deivam to Melakottai trustees which is the present URCHAVA Moorthi, later called as “The YadhirAja Sampath Kumar Chella Pillai Perumal” due to the incidents as seen in GuruParamparai.

This is the short rotational story of Kula Deivam Perumal.
