According to dharma sastras, may I know the general days in a week (from Sunday-Saturday) or certain important tithis / nakshatrams when shaving / hair cut is not permitted?
This information will be very useful.

First of all for a gruhastha just haircut and shaving the face itself is not permitted. He has to do sarvanga kshavaram once in a month or in dire needs once in a paksham. Avoid paurnami, amavasya, masa pravesam, Tuesday Friday Saturday, pandigai days, sraddham days.

In these days of coronavirus fear, some are resorting to haircut at home. If self haircutting is done at home, then what pariharam one has to do? Or just a feeling -sincere mana varutham will do? I was told, per Shastra, even shaving by oneself is not allowed.
