Nithya karma anustanam

Srimate ramanujaya nama:

A Srivaishnava is expected to be paramaikanthy and follows “Maranthum puram thozhamai”… Hence most of the devatantra aradhanam or any rituals related to it. Oru acharyas only prescribed to do nithya and naimithika karmas which are mandatory ( Aakaarane pratyabayam) and also avoided any Kamya karama. Even these karmas are meant to be taken as aradhanam of paramatama.
But within the nithya anustanam several places we tend to prize indra, varuna etc we offer water, flower or something and ask them to reiterate well being to us. Will these actions account for “devatantra bhajanam”? Praying, offering, praising and several such procedures are included in these karmas what is perspective behind sticking to these and what should be one’s view on these?

Kindly pardon my ignorance, i am no one to question the practices but for sake of clarification and clear understand i am putting forth this questions. Please throw some details on these swamy.

Namaskaram Swami

In the Gita 3rd chapter Sri Krishna States of doing Puja i.e to show your obiesiences to the lords who provide you Rain, light and many more for your daily necessity routine to work on further and one who does’nt do so is a thief, however, we can’t go in search of each and every Devas for this in the 3rd chapter itself Krishna discloses that instead of doing this for each and every individual Devas, why not to offer all to me since they are my Shareeram too and what indirectly (Since Bhagwan is Antaryami) will be reaching them through me then why not you give it directly to me, so this is concerned as far as Puja is concerned, As far as praising and other things are concerned it should be taken into consideration that Bhagwan is Antaryami to them as well and the significant power which they posses is Sri Hari himself, so keep in mind that one is praising Bhagwans power only which is displayed to us through for example Indra. For more explanation on this do refer Bhagwat Gita 10th chapter.

Swamy to putforth clearly…. In other circumstances a srivaishnava doesn’t prise devatas, even dont advocate any aradhanam to other devatas by stating reasons as perumal taking it as antaryami.. but when it comes to nithya naimitika karma, these strick insitai gets relaxed.. these point only adiyen trying putforth swamy.. not about any particular pooja or devata.

Adiyen

Yes absolutely true swami Adiyen tried to cover it outrightly and Nitya ,Naimitika Karma all are included in it since Bhagwan is Antaryami.

Srimate Ramnujaye Namaha!

Swamy , just adding my perspective. Scriptures don’t encourage independent worship of devatas without relation to Bhagawan, Nor do scriptures allow disrespecting of devatas. So there is a thin line in between, where one worships the supreme Lord and offers respect to other devatas in relation to Bhagawaan.

If a prime minister comes with his ministers, we have to respect the ministers as appointed men by PM and that is actually respecting the PM’s choice/selection of minister.

In the nitya karma anustanam, all devatas are respected in proper relation to their service to Lord and the central worship is still to Bhagawaan, Sri Krishna. So it is valid and required for us to be grateful for the services they are providing us in our service to the Lord.

What is not recommended is to assume that the devatas are independent of Bhagawaan and respecting them independent of Bhagwaan and praying for frutive results.

Adiyen completely agree with enpanifan Swamy because disrespecting devatAs will amount to disrespecting antharyAmi.
