Offering sweets

Namaskaaram Swami,

Can sweets be offered even after the prescribed time period to Bhagavan? Adiyen know that the food has to be offered to Perumal within 2-3 hours of cooking. Is the rule applicable for sweets too? In case of sweets like laddus, my mother says that it takes some time to get the proper texture after making it. So what to do in this case, swami?

For kartigai and Sri Jayanti, we start preparing a day earlier and offer it only on pandigai day evening.
