adiyen understand that vadakalai vaishvites perform Para samarphanam after samasrayanam. One of my college mate who underwent these, mentioned that prapanna refers only to those who performed Para samarphanam. Is that so?
Is Para samarphanam not done with thenkalai vaishvites or any other thing is done equivalent to that.

Prapatti is common to both. But the nature varies. One is Phala prapatti and the other upaya prapatti. You can know that in detail if you attend kalakshepam of Rahasya texts.
