Swami,

Please do clarify if Poonool (Yajnopaveetham) is supposed to be worn only in ‘niveetham’ position when we wear any upper garment (say baniyan/shirt).

Is ‘upaveetham’ allowed only when we don’t wear any upper garment?

Swamy i don’t know how much adiyen say is correct, I heard from vaidika, that while mala mootra visarganam either one can round the poonal in right while in upaveetham or one can wear poonal as niveetham. Other than that I don’t suppose one can wear always in niveetham.
