Query : Thayar usually sported on the right side or Left side of Perumal ?

Dear Swamy/Periyava, Adiyen Ramanuja dasan.

In my mind or memory registered as the old photos of Thirupathi perumal & thayar, thayar sported on left side of perumal. Now and for several years i am seeing Thayar well sported in right side of Perumal in photos! Hope the correct display in photo should be “sported on the right side of Perumal”. ? i cant enjoy the serthi in Thirumalai where my dear perumal standing alone giving sevai, thayar too in Keel thirupathi. Hence want to re-assure about the photos what we are seeing is correct or wrong ?.

In general Thayar is seen on the right side of Perumal. Example panguni uththiram serthi picture of Rangathar and Thayaar.

However, in pictures of SriRam darbar (/ pattabhisekam) Thayar is always seen on the left side of Perumal.

There must be some ‘standard’ regarding this. Let us hope someone knowledgeable will share the details.

Even today I witnessed the Meenakshi Amman sitting next to Siva in thirukalyanam. Hence this is confusing should we art our thayar left side to perumal or right side to perumal . Adiyen Ramanuja dasan

Thayar is in Keezh thirupathi because she is easily more reachable than Perumal – Srimath Thirukkudanthai Andavan
