There was a discussion that usually there is no any type of deeksha in traditional advaita mutts and people if wants remains to be advaitins with the regular vedic samskaras but in case of vaishnavas we undergo panchasamskara in order to take up our life only to gain srimannarayana karuna
It feels something special to us
But while seeing in other perspective there comes a view that it is something external and a later addition to the normal samskaras and not in natural like other school perform it
This is because there is a feeling that panchasamskara is been authorized in agamas so my question is whether there is any mention about samashrayanam in PURANAS ITHIHASA and Veda
There were great efforts by aacharya yamuna muni with Agama-prAmANya to establish it
But adiyen is not eligible in understanding such great things but want to know do anything related to samashrayanam exist in PURANAS ITHIHASA that we can understand that it is important samskaras for all the bhagavathas seeking srimannarayana karuna
