Sri Velukkudi Ranganathan Swamy Thiruvadigaley Sharanam

Sri:

Good things are done with Krishna Kripa and anything negative is due to our Karma.

Swamy already did an audio in EnPaNi if adiyen remember correctly regarding Sarvam Sri KrishnArpanam Asthu

EllAm Avan Seyal is for a purpose
VishnO karmANi pashyatha

Appo kettadhu Perumalukku attribute Agaadha?

Adiyen understanding is a little different based on the below example

A vAsudeva bhakthA’s declaration is different from na vAsudeva Bhakthan

Prahlad vs Dhridharashtrar

Maa Nishada Pratistham Tvamagamahsāsvati Samaa
Yat Kraunchamithunaadekam Avadhi Kaamamohitam

Srimad Ramayana Shlokam

Based on the above shlokA reference if a BhakthA does something even a curse will become a boon

RAma nAMA Bhalam

Our sampradhayam is so intricate

Thavarukku nAn poruppAli nu soldrathu bedha buddhi udayavan solluvadhu

Pariseshanam panni amudhu seivadhu vishamey Aanalum amudham Avadhai kurikkiradhu

PrahlAdan is the best example

Avanukku samarpaNam senjapparam “nA sApadren ngra ennam vara kudAthu”

AntharyAmi brahmam amudhu senjukarAn

So technically adiyen can conclude

“a bad thing can happen only if he is not a Vishnu Bhaktha”

Adiyen don’t beleive in partial Surrender

Vikram swamy, namaskaram.

there are multiple parts to your question, and I am not able to get the full essence of your question. While we wait for experts to answer your question, I thought I can do some தயிர் கடைதல் with you.

You said,

Adiyen don’t beleive in partial SurrenderFrom vikraminside

But I feel saranagathi is not a binary state: “Surrendered” or “Not surrendered”. It is a  progressiவ்e stage from no surrender to gradually cultivate the qualitie to become fully surrender.

Saranagathi is characterised by the six qualiteis, right? humility, accepting things favorable for kainkaryam, rejecting things unfavorable for kainkaryam, confidence in Perumal’s protection, faith that He is our maintainer, and offering one own self in service. If I analyse my heart today and compare it to what I was on the day when I received pancasamskaram, I believe I have made some progress in these quaities. Although I am not a full saranagatha, I can feel that by acharyan anugraham I am making progress in these qualities. In other words, my degree of saranagathi is deepening day by day. by acharyan’s anugraham.

This makes me think Saranagathi is a progressive process and not a binary state as you seem to have indicated.

I rest my case; now your turn to pull the மத்து.

Swamy,

Sharanagathi can be done only once. The purpose may be different but for Moksham its only once. This is what adiyen understand from Swamy Desika Sampradayam.

Practically speaking, Sharanagathi is realizing am his property

How property can be submitted more than once?.
Once declared he has complete control over us.

We can’t revoke it.

Dasanudasan

ஆமாம் ஸ்வாமி, சரி தான். we can not submit the property repeatedly.

Saranagathi is indeed once. And whether we take it seriously or not Perumal takes it seriously (because Acahryan has recommended).

What I am trying to say is this: Although I have surrendered myself willingly, I do get carried away by my prarabhdha vasanas. I am not behaving like a surrendered person 100% of the time. Initially may be 5% or 10% behaving properly and rest carried away by vasanas. But gradually over time, the 10% becomes 20, 30 and so on, and finally we reach 100% following or 100% free from vasana influence. For some advanced persons (eg. Kuraththaazhwaar) they are 100% right from the beginning. There may be others who start at 90% and reach 100% very soon.

Everyone who has realised one’s own efforts to become free from this life and get back to Vaikuntha and accepted the Saranagathi is a Saranagatha. There is  no going back. In this sense I can understand the binary concept.

But when you look at the life of those who have received Saranagathi, there seems to be extended phase for each person to reach the stage where all activities all the time is in full surrender to Perumal. A very good example is our own lives. We can call ourselves saranagaths; no doubt. But at the same time, I still think I have to depend of my salary to sustain; the confidence that Perumal will anyways sustain my existence if I simply focus on my dharma and execute it nicely.

I think we both are discussing two aspects of the same thing!

Srimate Raaamanujaye Namaha!

Harivamsam  audio 170 is very relevant to the discussion here where Swami gives the more deeper definition of Saranagathi.

Sri Krishna sanctioned the desire and so i could find it.
