There are terms such as follow / regard / respect / admire that can be used to show reverence towards someone. But bakthi is at much higher level. Hope everyone knows about this and I am not competent enough to describe.
Even surrendering need not bring bakthi.

I am quoting the following statement, as the only way to attain motcham, from the website, for others to decide.
“Sri Anna, in all His discourses highlights that Hari Nama sankeertanam is the only, but sure way to get across this turmoil of earthly life.”.
This clearly shows that he is not considering Ramanujar sambandham for motcham, though he is from acharya lineage.
We have seen / heard several who claim themselves to be God / avatar.
In this website it is mentioned, Sri. Anna has incarnated in this world and an avatar.
Based on the following statement (from the website), I do not know whether his bakthas consider him to be God.
“Like how Brahman can’t be explained in words, so is THE GREAT PHENOMENON – Sri Sri Anna. HE is to be EXPERIENCED”.
Every one goes by their own judgement. If someone wants to consider one as avatar or God and want to show bakthi, I will not come in their way. It is after all his prerogative. At the same time, if some one has different view, he can not be insisted upon. I only wished us to be devotees of Lord Krishna only and not insisted.
I have gone through this link, before I posted my comment 4 days back, in the other thread. I did not want to post in detail, but now circumstances force me.
Regardless of what I have mentioned, I should say that I have respects for him and his works, which is a different point altogether.
One of my relative and his gosti was invited to perform bajan by anna for about a week and was given to understand that they were looked after well.
I do not want to continue further in this thread, as I feel it is not proper.
