Adiyen Ramanuja dasan

Thank you so much to Sri U.Ve Velukudi Krishnan Swami for sharing his thoughts on a daily basis, which is helping us to be connected to Vedic teachings and look things happening around us in Vedic perspective.

Seeking your blessing and praying for your entire family’s good health and prosperity.

Question:

We were having a family tradition of taking care of cows and doing small scale Agriculture but somehow got disconnected from the teachings of Aacharya’s, had very less income, so we were not grateful for that life and left that way of living. Also, by the influence of Kali yuga and modern education system we left those traditional living and started to live in a city life (all these happened in past 30 years).

Now after getting reconnected to teaching from Aacharya’s, we are realizing the importance of living traditional life and doing Bakthi, taking care of few cows and producing our own food, offering to Krsna and having it as Prasadam which is more conducive to understand the mercy of Krishna and be dependent on him so that we can have the proper mood and longing to go back to Vaikuntha.

But now moving from existing lifestyle to traditional lifestyle is so difficult. we see entire society has been changed and we alone going back to such lifestyle is being difficult, can you share how to overcome this challenge so that we can set a positive example to the society on this importance which we are losing day by day? or should we try to adjust and live in whatever position we are now and practice Bakthi (as doing Bakthi does not have any material impediments)

Srimate Raamnujaye namaha,

Very glad to read the above post.

Once you have this desire things will automatically move in that direction and Lord Sri Krishna will fulfill it, more so by Swami’s blessings.

Regarding your question , i am sharing my thought, you can hear all such answers and choose the most suitable one.

  1. step one is to find some reliable person who has knowledge about farming and goshalas, to mage together.. ( if they are separated they are not sustainable, they should always be together)
  2. Second we should also learn and educate ourselves more by joining suitable WhatsApp groups and  you tube channels etc and may be can bey some good books by organic farming legends like Namazzhwaaar etc.
  3. then we should buy small land and start small, not as a full time occupation but as a hobby/service.. then after few years of learning,, slowly the scale can be expanded. Also sustainable marketing and sales network should be created as well.
  4. ten finally when it is running well , you can  choose to move full time to such a set up, if required , depending on age one can do a simple role of work while managing farms as well, depends on the person’s age and skillset and financial requirements.

It is a long project.. but can be done.
