Sri Rangam – Stay details

adiyen like to visit Sri Rangam, if He is willing.

I would like to take opinion / experience for stay for decent family accommodation (in ground floor), very close to the entrance (preferably near Ranga Ranga Gopuram) where food is also available close by. I have checked for these details in the internet. But prefer to take opinion based on experience. The main idea is to limit the walking and avoid stair climbing to the extent possible, due to limited mobility. The idea is to stay for two days including one day for the visit of nearby divya desam temples, very close ones by hiring vehicle.

Request to provide the details preferably with phone numbers.

Swamy, namaskaram. I am very happy to hear about your good fortune to visit Srirangam.

When you face Ranga-Ranga gopuram, take right and walk down the therkku-uththira-veedhi. Near the junction of therkku-uththira-veedhi and kizhakku-uththira-veedhi there are a few boarding facilities. (There used to be a ‘Mathura mutt’; not sure if it is still there). This location is very near ManavaaLa maamunigal sannidhi; that is a bonus!

Regarding food availability, depends on your preference. If you are okay with restaurant food, there are several places around. If you are specific about getting only prasadam, I am unable to give you a solution right now. There is a so-called prasadam stall inside the temple (in front of Garudalwaar sannithi). But most of the food available there is not actually offered to Ranganathar. It is a commercial enterprise.

Pray to Ranganathar; He never fails; He somehow or other arranges prasadam if we are keen to eat only prasadam.
