Why Discrimination among Bhakthas in the name of caste

Srimathe Ramanujaya nama:
Srimad Varavaramunaye nama:
Adiyen’s Namaskarangal to Swami and all volunteers.
First of all let adiyen convey my Krathangya to En Pani team for the wonderful service.
As per Periyaazhwar’s Thirupallandu 5th Pasuram last 2 stanza, discrimination must NOT be seen among Thondar kuzham (Devotees) and pandai kulam (caste the devotee was born) must be avoided while looking as a devotee.
While Aazhwars and Acharyas have clearly said it is a great sin to discriminate adiyargal in the name of caste, many srivaishnavas (especially those who are born in Brahmana family) are showing the discrimination among Bhaktas. Example: Srivasihnavas born in Brahmana family (Not all of them but many of them) are addressing other Srivaishnavas those who were not born in brahmana family as “Bhagavadas” and addressing themselves as brahmanas (but they do not do brahmana job, Neither they have the qualities mentioned by Bhagavan in Srimad Bhagavad Gita 18th Chapter 42nd sloka) . Will Udaiyar agree such a discrimination?
Does that also mean only the Srivaishnavas who were NOT born in brahmana family are real Bhagavads of Sriman Narayana?
And How to correct this mistakes?
Kshamikkanum if any there is any mistake in the way question is asked.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,
Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami Guruvae Namaha,

Dear BhagavAta,

As per definition from Swami’s upanyasams, adiyen’s understanding is “ANYONE (any varnas) WHO PRAYS BHAGAVAN ARE CALLED AS BHAGAVATA”.

********************

A)

So, we need to understand the definition of “BhaGaVan (பகவான்)” first. Adiyem will repost from different thread.

Bha (ப): means two kalya gunas“Gyana (Ultimate Knowledge), Bhala (Ultimate Strength)”,
Ga (க): means two kalya gunas “Veera (Ultimate Valour), Aishwarya (Ultimate Opulence)”,

Va (வா): means two kalya gunas“Shakthi (Ultimate Energy), Thejas (Ultimate Luster)”,
N (ன்): when ‘N’ in sanskrit is added, the pronuncation is ‘Na’, which means one who donot have any Theeya gunas (no bad qulaities).

So “BhaGaVan” means, One who:

1) doesn’t have and any Bad qualities (Theeya Gunangal) and

2) possesses all the 6 above Ultimate Qualities (Kalyana Gunas).

This applies to ONLY to Sriman NarayanAn and no one else has these 6 gunas, since all demi-gods has rajas-tamas-satvik gunas mixed together which makes them do bad activities at times as seen in Srimadh Bhagavatam. Only Sriman NarayanAn has “Suddha Satva Gunam” with No Rajas and No Tamas gunas.

Appadi patta 6 kalya gunangal udaya BhaGaVanai MATTUM Artthipadhu (Poojai seybhavar) are termed as ‘BhaGaVata (Adiyar)’ is the definition of “Bhagavata”.

*********************

B)

During ‘Abhivadhe’  (introducing one self in Vaidheha way), here is what each varnas introduce themselves.

1) A Brahmin –> says as Varma

2) A Shatriya –> says as Sharma

3) A Vaishya –> says as Gupta

4) A non-brahman –> says as Dasan.

The 1st three varnas all are supposed to have done Upanayanam (poonool) as per Shastras to do ‘Upasana margam (Karma-Gyana-Bhakthi yoga margam) and follow it for many han n as without any break to get Moksham ‘SriVaikuntam’.

In this Kali Yuga, no one gas life span plus Gyanam, so Swami Ramanujar enforced ‘Sharanagathy margam’, fall on Lotus feet of Sriman NarayanAn as both Upayam and Upeyam for Moksham.

So during Pancha Samskaram, one if the samskaram us fetting a “Nama (name) from Acharya.

Swami said, Ramanujar has analysed all aspects.

Hence,  instead of Nama ending with “Adiyen Varma” or “Adiyen Sharma” or “Adiyen Gupta”, Swami chose “Adiyen Dasan” and said every Sharanagathan either 1st or 2nd or 3rd or 4th varna, should be called as “Adiyen Dasan”. If not the discrimination will arise that, only that varna ( varma or sharma or gupta) can go Moksham and not others.

Hence, if someone is saying themselves as Brahmana, it could be to identify themselves to do their prescribed varna ashramam duties, but they will call themselves as ‘Adiyen Dasan’ which should be accepted by all.

If a Brahmana or any varna doesn’t call themselves as “Adiyen Dasan”, then that needs to be reviewed, and we should feel pity for them and enlighten them based on Swami’s Pravachanams.

*****************

Hence,

1) by definition, every varna who pray only BhagavAn is a ‘BhagavAta’. If anyone likes them to be called as Brahmana disliking to be called as BhagavAta, then it means they pray both BhagavAn and demi-gods,

2) Also by Swami Ramanujars ThiruUllam, a Sharanagathan of any varnas are ‘Adiyen Dasan’.

Hence we Sharanagathas under lotus feet of Sriman Narayanan should be PROUD to be called as a BhagavAta or Adiyen Dasan, and we neednot worry about it.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,
Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami Guruvae Namaha,

Dear BhagavAta,

Adiyen is not a Swami. Like how others Bhagavatas (of all varnas) are residing in Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami’s Lotus feet, adiyen is one among them. Bhagavata can call adiyen as Bhagavata or Bhakta or call Adiyens true identity as “Hello JeevAthma”, which is the common identity for all of us as Swami says in Enpani “Athma Samatvam” which is beyond Shareera (Bodily) Varna bhedham.

Another reference from Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami’s s pravachanans regarding the word ‘BhagavAtham’ explanation.

C)

Swami says the meaning of Srimadh Bhagavata puranam. It is also called as ‘Bhagavatham’.

பகவத (Bagavatha) + இதம ் (Itham) = பாகவதம் (Bhagavatham).

Swami says, it means,

a) BhagavAnai pattri paesudhal

b) Bhavathargalai pattri paesudhal,

c) BhagavAnukkagavey yendru iruppadhu.

So, ‘Bhagavatham’ talks about BhagavAn and BhagavAtas (Vishesha Artham) and doesnot talk about varnas (Saamanya Arthams). BhagavAtas are beyond Varna bhedham. So, all dedicated devotees (any varnas) of Sriman NarayanAn are ‘BhagavAtas’.

******************

Some supplementary info,

* Even the latest “Achit Guru” (Google Acharyan) Wikipedia with its own installed knowledge talks about BhagavAta as SriKrishna/Sriman NarayanAn devotees. What a beauty.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhagavata

* Even non-Sanatana Dharma Dictionary (merriam-webster) also started getting some Gyana in the right path. They say, BhagavAta are worshippers of SriVishnu. GOD is great.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bhagavata.

***********************

So from all aspects, ‘BhagavAtas’ are dedicated devotees of Sriman NarayAna and they are beyond any Shareera varna bhedham. Based on Swami’s pravachanams, let’s enlighten other devotees who are not aware of it, when asked about it.

Srimathe Ramanujaya nama :
Srimad Varavaramunaye nama :

Adiyen!

OK sure. Danyoshmin Bhagavada. This clarifies the doubt. Reference to Achit Guru is very nice.

Sri Velukkudi Swami also said when we address a bhaktha as Swami, we are really addressing the Bhagavan who resides within that Bhaktha antharyami (samadharsanam). Hence Adiyen addressed devareer as Swami.

Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

Adiyen differ to this – “Bhagavadas” and addressing themselves as brahmanas” BhAgavathA is more important than Brahmana.

A brahmna is supposed to be a BhAgavatha. It does not mean Brahmana can forego their AchAra anushtAna as it’s their duty.

In dettol handwash advertisement :

“யார் யாரோ தோட்ட soap இந்த germs பரப்ப மாட்டோமே , வீட்டுலயோ வெளியிலேயே எங்கேயும் எப்போதும் dettol dettol தான்”

Not sure how many had guts to object this advertisement as “AchAram”.

English kAran sonna correct adhuvey AchAram nu Brahmnan sonna thappA? Kaeta TheendAmai nu soldra. How come sugAdhAram became TheendAmai?

Adiyean!
Yes Vikram swamy.
I agree with you.
One should follow his/her Varna Ashrama Dharma strictly or as much as possible to qualify as Bhaktha or Bhaghavatha. This is adiyean’s perception.
If you claim that you are adimai to Bhaghawan ( as Bhaktha) then you have to obey what Bhaghavan says via Sasthram and Manu Dharma.

After all, we obey sternly to what our immediate supervisors or bosses order withot questioning them for earning ( cheap cause).
Whereas, OurJagath Pitha/ Matha’s,who is the BOSS for the entire universe of universes, wishes ( not even order) are simply ignored by many of us conveniently.
What is this?? No fairness?. If you don’t follow your company boss , you may, at worst, loose one job. But if you follow Bhaghavan’s order then you will not fear for loosing jobs as HE will take care of you in any way or even through the same company boss. HE is SURVESWARESWARN.

While saying so DOESN’ T mean acknowleding discrimination.
No way any one can discreminate others in the name of caste as ALL ARE BHAGHWAN’ CHILDREN. HE will never accept this sort of discrimination among Bhaghthas.
Whoever accepts HIM belong to same Kulam- Bhakthas.
Even HE doesn’t dislike those who oppose or act against HIM. Because HE is the mother of all of us. How can a mother discriminate her children. SHE is more concerned on who is not following as per dharmam. SHE is always thinking about how to make her erraneous child to follow dharmam.
Though Ravana troubled much,Matha Sita still showed pity on him and advised him to surrender Bhaghawan.
So, it is not us, human, to pin point or blame others for not following the rules but we can advise them to follow. That’s all we can do. We don’t know the big picture as we are in very very small circle.
Only Bhaghawan can see the VERY BIG PICTURE.
Adiyean Ramanuja Dhasan.

Dear Vikram Swami, question was not about Varnashrama or aacharam or untouchability here.

Question was only about discrimination among bhaktas.
Kshamikkanum, Devareer’s response does not seem to be relevant to the question asked.

Namaskaram,
Pls don’t mind but its clearly seen discrimination was in your mind and not in mind of those who spoke this way. A Brahman is no way superior to a bagavata unless he is a bagavata himself. Just tat it might be a self reminder for that Brahman to be a bagavata every minute while they talk so, since their prescribed duties are directly bagavan n bagavata kaikaryam.

Kindly listen to enpani for youth for alzhwars topic on this. Sometimes In Kali yuga its most difficult for a Brahman to get moksha and he is definitely not superior to any other bagavata due to Varna.
