Why don’t our guru parampara have rishis ??

Swamy, Recently I met an advaita. He said his guru parampara contains rishis. So, he said his guru parampara is only authentic. But, I can’t accept.

Advaita guru parampara has – Vasishtha, shakti, parasara, veda vyasa, sukar.

Dvaita guru parampara has- Sanakadi kumaras (Sanaka, Sananda, Sanatana, sanat kumara) and Durvasa munivar.

That advaiti also said, ” His guru parampara has acharya from all four yugas”

Why don’t our guru parampara have rishis ? Why don’t our guru parampara have acharyas from all 4 yugas ??

Namaskaram Sundara Ramanuja dasan BhagavAta,

Swami Ramanujacharya’s VishistaAdvaitam followers doesn’t follow Rishis in GuruParamparai though Acharyas refer to some of the Rishis’ works (Vashista, Parasara, Shakti, Veda Vyasa, Sukar etc)…. because they follow:

Anga Prapatti: Means to Surrender to SrimanNarayana to remove the Obstacles (Karma’s) that is obstructing them to start the Karma-Gyana-Bhakthi yoga maargham, which will yield results, after many million janmas,ONLYΒ  if PERFECT meditation like “Thaila Dhaaravath (Streamlined Oil flowing with no dripping) method is followed without getting into any Materialistic activities like Job, Family etc…. So it is Rishis Effort (Upayam/Route) to attain BhagavAn (Upeyam/Premeyam). So Karanam Thappinaal MaranamΒ in this Maargham, very risky due to our effort.

Example: Supreme Almighty GOD Sriman Narayana took SriRama Avatar. HIS Acharya is a Rishi Vashista. In actual, SriRama took Manushya Avatar, so HE should have attained Moksham only through HIS Acharya Krupai Vashista, but Vashista is still in this Samsaram, didnot go Moksham, since he follows Karma-Gyana-Bhakthi Yoga maargham, which will take many Janmas. So SriRama had to take off HIS Manushya mask and go to SriVaikuntam as ParamAthma itself, since HE can’t wait till HIS Acharya gets Moksham. Does this help, why we dont follow Rishi’s.

But, We Ramanuja Dasas follow Swathantra Prapatti on Acharya Ramanuja’s Lotus feet, since SriRama has said to Swami RamanujA that HE will give Moksham to all of HIS Sambhandhis in Gadya Trayam. This is not promised by BhagavAn to any other Acharyas of any other sampradhayam. So here, it is BhagavAn’s Krupai received through Acharya RamanujA’s Lotus Feet (Upayam/Route) to attain BhagavAn (Upeyam/Acharya ThiruvAdi/Premeyam). Our Effort is not thee here for Moksham, so we are safe, NO risk.

So, Acharya’s in our GuruParamprai don’t bring in the Rishi’s in GuruParamparai because their Philosophies will dilute and confuse the people more especially in Kaliyuga who are already ignorant and will deviate from Nithya Kainakryam/SriVaikuntam.

Also, Adaviti’s dont accept Moksham/SriVaikuntam. They are Shoonya vaadham, who worship many deities, ultimately leading to a nameless, formless, attributeless absolute. Is this confusion necessary for a JeevAthma who is looking for a relief from this Material world and do Kainakryam to BhagavAN Sriman NarayanA. So, AcharyAs don’t prescribe the Rishi Philosophies.

These Sampradhayam’s follow Bedha shruti and Abedha shruti from Upanishads, which is why all these confusions exist, called as Rishi Samprdhayams. But Swami Ramanuja pulled the Kataka Shruthi from Upanishads which tells clearly about ParamAthma, JeevAthma (Chit) and Achit as in SriBhashyam and in Shatha-Dhooshani by Swami Vedantha Desikar. So, we don’t have any confusion, because it Starts from 1st Acharyan Sriman Narayana (ThayAr-Perumal) straight to Swami VishvaksenAr, then NammAlwar and so on to Present Acharya, and NO rishis as below GuruParamparai Thaniyan.

Vande Guru paramparAm

So, lets pray on Swami RamanuJAr’s Lotus Feet that, at some point let all the ignorance in other Samprdhayams get removed by Swmai RamnujAr’s grace and they come for Kainkaryam here in Material world and they acknowledge the existence of SriVaikuntam rather than Shoonya Vaadham meditation as seen below which is no useful for a JeevAthma.

Swamy very nicel explained: adiyen neechan having one small query: In your above example you mentioned RAMA was waiting due to his acharya was enjoying the Samsaram ! And our acharya Ramanuja already attained Mokasha hence we will get direct flight to vaikuntam ! But both margam wants us to reroute via Acahryas only! Difference of practice is different due to Self try/ Surrender to bagwan lotus feet. Little confused with surrendering to Bagwan lotus feet vs Acharyas sampandham ! Being we all are Ramnujas sambandham should i forget about surrendering to bagwan lotus feet. Kshamikavum Adiyens only saviour is my acharyas. But for general people questions asking here… Kshamikvaum

Understood myself “When we surrender to Baghwan we go with lot of SIN”, but “when surrender via Achrya Baghwan dont see our mistake”. I recalled Swamy velukkudi sayings and understood the benefits,Β

I happened to refer to VedArtha Samgraha, where Bhagavad RAmAnujar, attests about 1. Baudhayana; 2. Tanaka; 3. Dramida; 4. Guhadeva; 5. Kapardi; and, 6. Bharuci as the predecessor of VishishtAdvaita siddhAntam.

So it looks like there is a link between Lakshminatha (bhagwan himself) and Sri NAthamunigal and Sri YAmunAchArya before the wisdom was passed onto Bhagavad RAmAnujacharya, though they were not rishis per se.

Adiyen has a bit of confusion!

If our sampradAyam does not have rishi paramparai, then who are Atri, Bhrigu, Kashyapa, and Marichi?Β 

VaikhAnasa AgamA does talk about the doctrine of worshipping bhagawan preached by Sage Vikhanas to these Rishis!

Even this AgamA comes under the purview of Sri Vaishnavism only!

How can a superset (Sri Vaishnavism) have no rishi paramparai but its subset (Vaikhansam) have it?

Swamy, agama is different from sampradayam.

Agama teachs how to worship bhagavan in temples while sampradayam tells philosophy, siddantam and ways to reach bhagavan.

Any one can follow sri vaishnava sampradayam but everyone cannot learn Agama sasthra.

Basically, sri vaishnavas are different from vaikanasas.

Basically, devareer is saying that VaikhAnasAs are not RAmAnuja Sambandhis, hence not Sri Vaishnavites??Β

But how can the worshipping modes and the core philosophy (siddhAntam) contradict each other?
