Dear BhagavAta,

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami Arulal, Asmadh Acharyan Krupai, adiyen would like to share from Swami’s Upanyasams,

Swami says, BhagavAt Gita Chapter9 Verse 30,

अपि चेत्सुदुराचारो भजते मामनन्यभाक् |

साधुरेव स मन्तव्य: सम्यग्व्यवसितो हि स: || 30||

api chet su-duracharo bhajate mam ananya-bhak

sadhur eva sa mantavya? samyag vyavasito hi sa

api—even; chet—if; su-durachara?—the vilest sinners; bhajate—worship; mam—Me; ananya-bhak—exclusive devotion; sadhu?—Great Devotee; eva—certainly; sa?—that person; mantavya?—is to be considered; samyag—Equally; vyavasita?—as ME; hi—certainly; sa?—that person

Means, Sri Krishna BhagavAn the SUPREME says, “Even if the vilest sinners worship ME with exclusive devotion, they are to be considered in Sadhus Group (Elite Group) as a Great Devotee, and to be treated Equally same as ME“

Swami says this verse is fully TRUE for Guhan. So in Ramanuja sampradhayam, we call Guhan as “GUHA PERUMAN“, we give same name as Perumal to the devotee, and treat ANY Bhaktas from any Varna or Jaathi are Equally same, if they are a Great Pure SriVishnu Devotee.

Swami says, the Reflection of Gita Slokam 9:30 is seen in Thirumangai Alwar’s Periya Thirumozhi paasuram 5.8.1

Ezhai Ethalan keezhmagan ennaa

thirangi maRRavaR kinnaruL suranthu

‘maazhai maanmada nOkkiyun thOzhi;

umbi embi’en Rozhinthilai, uganthu

thOzha Nneeyenak kingozhi’ enRa

soRkaL vanthadi yEnmanath thirunthida,

aazhi vaNNa!nin adiyiNai yadainthEn

A great pAsuram!

Ezhai Ethalan  Keezhmagan (ஏழை ஏதலன் கீழ்மகன் ), AzhwAr refers to Guhan who was born poor, lower caste, no Acharam (eat anything) etc….but

Lord Ramachandran- hugged Guhan and said, “thOzha” (Nanbha/Friend, and “ninnudan aivarAnOm” (with you, we have become five brothers).

BhaghavAn SriRama’s quality (Kalaya Gunam)! Sowseelyam! (ability to mix freely with those much below one’s status and level)

Guhan- illiterate and immersed in sensual pursuits; always kills (being

a hunter); born in low caste; Still, You did not look down at him; You

showered Your grace on him; and also said to him, further, -This darting,

deer eyed Seetha is your friend; this younger brother Lakshmana is your brother too”-

 Not just that. He added that You are my friend; the fifth brother (in our

family).

First, Sri RamaChandra BhagavAn did not have food from Guhan (which is what BhagavAt would have heard from the other Upanyasakar Swami), but later after making all these Sambhandham with Guhan like Lakshmana was Acharya, and with Seetha Devi Thayar presence (recommendation), now Guhan is an ACHARYA SAMBHANDHI, then Sri Rama ACCEPTED the NEIVEDHYAM from GUhan in the 2^nd time, and now Guhan became GUHA PERUMAN, a Great Sri Vishnu Devotee.

So, Yes BhagavAn Accepts ONLY if we have ACHARYA SAMBHANDHAM, and Pancha Samskaram is ONLY ONE OF THE WAY to get ACHARYA SAMBHANDHAM, and Guhan got that Acharya Sambhamdham with SriRama’s Grace without Pancha Samskaram. So Acharya Sambhamam is Important and Pancha samskaram is only one of the 15 ways to get AcharyaRamanuja Sambhandham.

So, how to bring these verses to today’s Practical life, if we see a Pure Devotee of Sri Vishnu. In BhagavAtas case, BhagavAta is already a Acharya Ramanuja Sambhandhi through Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami’s Abhimaana Sambhandham, since BhagavAt is been saying “Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami ThiruvAdigalaey Sharanam“, though BhagavAta did not get pancha samskaram. So BhagavAta is Chinnadurai Peruman and NOT to Worry. BhagavAn SriRama will accept BhagavAta’s Neivedhyam and Moksham in same birth with Swami’s Arul.

same situation of all BhagavAts, who says “Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami ThiruvAdigalaey Sharanam”.

At the same time, SriRama is the one who has laid down the Pancha Samskaram as one of the way to get Acharya sambhandham ,and ANYONE who has AASAI can get Acharya Ramanuja Sambhandham for Mokshma in SAME BIRTH. So, if there is feasibility for us to get Acharya Ramanuja Sambhamdham thorugh the Pancha samskaram way (out of the 15 ways), then yes we should get it done sooner for BhagavAn SriRama’s Happiness.
